
First of its kind festival, one of a kind digital experience
The festival was a milestone moment: celebrating 55 years of Goway while signaling a new era of innovation under VP of Marketing Mitchell Fawcett. To make it successful, Goway needed a robust, scalable digital platform to accept global submissions, manage video content, and connect participants and audiences in a fair, engaging way.
Therefore built the digital backbone of the festival. Submission data flowed directly into Salesforce, while video assets were stored cost-effectively on AWS and seamlessly integrated with Vimeo for playback. Load testing ensured smooth performance during high-traffic peaks and, to prepare for future editions, we introduced public voting by extending Drupal’s native capabilities with fraud safeguards and email capture.
